What is kinesiology

People often ask me, what is kinesiology? And to be honest I have a hard time answering. Over time I have given lots of different answers, from "it's 'Chi'(qi) healing" to "it's realigning your aura" or "it's rewiring your brain" to plain out calling it weird...

Kinesiology is an alternative approach to health, finding ways in which the electric and magnetic particles of your body respond and influence your emotional, intellectual, physical well being.

When I first started studying kinesiology I was told it was the study of human movement, and I have come to the understanding that all of the above are true. So I like to add that it is the exploration of human evolution.

The academic mind is fantastic at looking at the human body through its various lens, and has achieved marvels in understanding and life saving medical breakthroughs. The one thing we all have to agree on though is that once we are finished with our studies on anatomy and physiology we have a wonderful understanding and roadmap for a non conscious body.

There is something that breathes life into human flesh and animates, integrates, learns, laughs, adapts and loves. This is something that the academic mind is still yet to reach full consensus. There is vast research and literature into spirit, some centuries old, still all renounced as mysticism.

Maybe some of the mysticism is prescience, after all it wouldn't be the first discovery in academic history to uncannily align with Ayurvedic and Taoist tradition.

So if you have read this far, thankyou. I appreciate you.

If you are looking for vitality and longevity. If you are on the wavelength of self healing, of discovery and becoming the highest version of yourself. If you really don't understand your repetitive emotions, anger, dissatisfaction, or anxiety. Or why we habitually posture ourselves in positions that cause pain and tend to resist moving into a "better" posture. Then kinesiology is the long term therapeutic balance to add to your self care practice.

If you are looking to try something once to "give it a go", or if you want a therapy where you want to feel an immediate change then kinesiology might not be the best treatment plan for you and I would refer you to my remedial massage or another therapy.
